Shelby Leigh lives in Bend, Oregon and spends time in the outdoors daily with her dog Luna. As a licensed psychotherapist with a Master’s degree in Somatic Psychotherapy, two coaching Certificates and numerous trainings in the Somatic treatment of trauma, she has been sharing mindfulness, Buddhist meditation, embodied trauma healing practices and somatically focused tools for nearly two decades.
Between her own journey with complex PTSD and supporting thousands of students and clients across the world, she is ignited by supporting folks from many backgrounds and levels of experience to be able to support themselves and the people they work with to move from simply surviving to truly thriving.

You might be surprised by how simple yet deep they are. Depending on the day, we’ll explore several different kinds of somatically based practices accessible for all bodies and people brand new to practice or who’ve been in deep healing experiences for decades. Mostly we’ll be seated or lying down and occasionally we may bring simple gentle movements or postures.
There will be trauma-informed, mindfulness-based practices, somatic co-regulating presence practices where you’ll learn about fascinating things like the role of your kidneys, adrenals, and brain stem in the healing process. Additionally, the program will provide you with other tools and teachings that have foundations in Somatic Psychology and Somatic Trauma Healing. All these practices and teachings will open up many possibilities for healing.
