You’re a coach, facilitator, a leader.

(Perhaps you’re a yoga teacher, breath work healer, or a therapist.)

You’re well-trained, confident,

and ready to go…

Except when it comes to supporting your clients who have trauma.

Yup. I said the ‘T’ word.

It’s ok. We all have it. And as coaches, facilitators, and healers you’re guaranteed to come across it.

I want you to be able to share your gifts with the world. I know you’re amazing teachers and facilitators, and the reality is - despite the best intentions and the biggest hearts - if people don’t feel safe with you, they’re not going to be able to receive what you have to offer.

Right now, you may feel:

  • Worried that even though you have training, you don’t know ENOUGH. What if something comes out of left field and you don’t know how to handle it?

  • Concerned. Every once in a while you come across a client who just can’t seem to be fully present. You know something is up but you don’t know how to support them.

  • Afraid that if one of your client’s gets triggered you may actually make further traumatize them…

Yeah, it’s scary but, it doesn’t have to be.

Introducing, Creating Safer Space, a 15-module course to help you understand, identify, and navigate trauma.

You’ll learn:

  • The basic neuroscience behind trauma (in a very easy-to-understand way) so you understand how the body and brain experience and live with trauma and in turn feel confident when it shows up

  • Practices to guide clients and students through to support them in feeling resilient, resourced and able to be fully present and available with you in the moment.

  • The most common ways healers, therapists and coaches are inadvertently feeding the trauma in their clients and how to avoid making the same mistakes

  • The things to say and do (and what NOT to say and do) to truly create a safer environment for clients and students to be able to receive your gifts and learn and grow.

And when you learn all of this, you’ll feel more confident knowing you have the skills and capacity to create seriously safe space for your clients and students to THRIVE in your care.

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Shelby Leigh, and I’m so glad you’re here.

Shelby Leigh, MA, LPCi

My journey has its own ups and downs which you’ll one day read about in my best selling book but for now, I’ll tell you this. I became who I am today through a ton of dead end roads, crappy coping mechanisms (drugs, alcohol, unhealthy relationships), a shit ton of trauma, and a hefty dose of PTSD. And everything changed the day I walked into a Buddhist Meditation Class.

I ended up getting a coaching degree, then a psychotherapy degree, got another coaching certification, went deep into embodiment, tantra, and sensuality (which I use in my work and life everyday), started working with clients and realized omg I’m freaking good at this. Through my trauma, I found my gifts and am able to support people through the full spectrum of the human experience.

I work with people in a variety of ways helping people heal so they can heal others and using my psychotherapy background to make sure that we’re navigating trauma in a way that doesn’t cause more.

I’m here to help people be more of themselves so they can heal their wounds and the world.

I want you to stop shoving down anxiety that you could inadvertently harm your clients and students and be able to TRUST that you can create a safer space so that your clients can heal, learn and grow with you and YOU can tap more fully into your AUTHENTIC VOICE, WISDOM and SPACE-HOLDING with incredible wisdom, care and compassion.

TESTIMONIALS

What I’m most aware of is the shift in my awareness when I’m with clients to pay more attention to creating a safe space.  I see myself slowing down and being more thoughtful of my words and actions.  Loving everything about this training!”

"I have finished your course on creating safer space and I must say, it is VERY GOOD.  I appreciate the explanation of trauma because I think it is misunderstood by many folks and you have made it easily understandable.  I found it a refreshing reminder of the fact that most of us have trauma induced lack of resiliency in some aspect or another of our being. I love that your path to healing is about encouraging resilience and resourcing; it reminds me of the idea that flooding a room with light just naturally makes the darkness go away - no struggle involved. No further trauma, either.  I can use this in the casual and more formal conversations with our clients in behavioral health settings. Our clients have a very high incidence of repeated trauma and, "Safe Enough Space" is definitely applicable and worth listening to more than once."

– Kestrel Jean, RN, Bend, Oregon

My goodness... I didn't realize how deeply I needed the rich content that is available in this course. I feel more skilled, more aware, and at the same time more relaxed about how I can hold space for my clients - in sessions and in workshops. There is so much wisdom here - and it keeps growing! The interviews are incredibly rich and I know I will return to this course like the many books I keep on my shelf for reference. I have always had the highest intention in my work - but now that intention is coupled with growing awareness and effective tools that I am already implementing. This is such an important investment - for your clients, and to quiet the little voice that hopes you are doing this important work as well as you can. I am so grateful to have Shelby's expertise guiding me.
